Duck Puppet

Author/illustrator Linda Ragsdale gave me the idea for these adorable duck puppets. Check out her website for more fun art and craft activities!

What you will need:

What to do:
  1. Pour a pool of glue onto a paper plate or other container.
  2. Touch one side of one end of the craft stick into the glue. Flip the stick and touch the other side of the same end of the craft stick into the glue.
  3. Place a LARGE pom-pom in the glue on one side of the stick. This is the duck's body.
  4. Place a SMALL pom-pom in the glue on the other side of the stick. This is the duck's head.
  5. Glue googly-eyes onto the duck's head. A good way for younger children, with developing small motor skills, to manage this step:
  6. Glue one heart-shaped punch-out, point-side out, onto the duck's head for a beak. Demonstrate for younger children:
  7. Glue two heart-shaped punch-outs, point-side in, onto the bottom of the duck's body for feet. Demonstrate for younger children:
